Trains!!!

Our boys love trains, still. The obsession began back in Provo before we left and has held fast for almost an entire year. They love them and seriously can not get enough of them.

Splash Parks are so much Fun!

Splash parks are the best in the summer! My boys loved going to this splash park in Arlington. It was a ward playgroup but we were so new that I did not recognize anyone. We still had a blast.

4th of July

We were so blessed to celebrate the 4th of July at our Nations Capitol! We went into the city around six because both boys took a huge nap in the afternoon. We stopped by the Peruvian venue and got some yummy dinner. Worked our way to the Washington Monument and sat right below it. The fireworks were so awesome and we had Mark Wills the country singer singing in the background.
Both boys loved it and still want to go back to the Washington Monument to watch fireworks every day.

More Pictures from our Vacation

Our Virgina Vacation

Truly we feel like we are on an extended vacation. Virgina is so awesome and so close to a million things to see. The boys think they are in Heaven. Every time we leave our "hotel room" (that is the feeling you get in our apt) they are exposed to trains, boats, bridges and airplanes.
We try to go to D.C at least 3 times a week. It is super easy we just jump on the metro and we are there. We have seen so much already. The boys favorite is the Air and Space Museum and we also really enjoy, the Zoo, Great Falls National Park and of course the Temple.

The Move

Moving is Hard! I always forget how hard it is, especially on Kids. I never had to move really, I was in the same house for 18 years. I was so blessed. However we have moved a lot with our poor boys and it really doesn't get any easier. Seriously I am so grateful for family. Just when this move seemed overwhelmingly impossible, my family just steped in and were literally angels and lifted us up. I am so grateful for the Gospel and my knowledge the families are forever. I can't even imagine spending eternity with out each of them!
Well, we found out a couple days before Arts internship started that he had to be there on Monday. So our moving plans were changed a bit. Art left a week early to start his internship while the boys and I packed up and sold stuff. It was a little stressful, as moving always is. We were extremely blessed by my wonderful family! Jed just surprised everyone and came out to visit. Little did he know how badly we needed him. He helped Art a ton finishing his boat, and he helped tons with moving and most of all he lifted everyone's spirits. The boys loved seeing their Uncle.

We were also blessed with a visit from our beautiful nieces Kaylee and Tia and Grammie. They also were like little angels. The boys were in Heaven with their cousins, they adore them and still talk about wanting to visit them and tell them about things they see or do.

In the car with Tia.

At the Zoo touching the frozen wall in the Polar Bear Exibit.

My Parents also came to the rescue and moved us out to Virgina. It was so fun to be with them and we were able to see a few things together.
Here is in Kirtland Ohio, we visited some fun Church sites.

We were able to spend half a day in D.C too. Mostly it was all work and little play.
Thank you so much family! And thanks to Telia and Ben for housing us and feeding us!

Goodbye Michigan

Here is our Farewell to Michigan, the best part for sure was living close to the Anderson Family. They are like love all around. Anyone who wants to have good times, feel constant love and eat the yummiest food consider living by them! We have loved being close.
As far as Michigan goes we have loved their parks and forests, although we really only got to enjoy them about 4 months out of the 10 months we were there.
It is a beautiful place! I am grateful we had the chance to experience Ann Arbor and we definitely learned a few things about our desires for the future.
1. We want to live by family!
2. I need a sunny place!
3. We really like college towns!

UP

Our last adventure in Michigan was visiting the Upper Peninsula. It was a long drive but worth every minute. We camped at Pictured Rocks National Lake Shore.

The drive actually took us 9 hours. Both Eli and Wesley were troopers.
This is Little Beaver Lake that we camped right next to. So pretty, we did have to wear bug spray 24-7.
Drinking milk in the tent, Art is so great and warmed it up by the fire, these boys are loved.

In the morning we hiked the White Pine Trail out to Lake Superior. The hike was so fun with tons of board walks, bridges and wood steps. The boys were in heaven. They did great too hiking 3 miles.

Wesley on the Board Walk

Lake Superior, the white beaches felt like we should be somewhere tropical. I expected the water to be warm but not so.

Munsing Falls

Hiking to Miners Falls, the boys were getting a little tired of walking by then and Art put Wesley in the Backpack and carried both.

Miner Falls

After all the beautiful things we saw the boys still talk about going camping and driving their cars in the dirt. Who know that was all they wanted!
